Hello everyone!!! My name is Rex Kelly, and today I’m excited to talk about a topic that is changing the world of web development in Python: ASGI, or Asynchronous Server Gateway Interface. ASGI is a real breakthrough for developers looking to build high-performance asynchronous web applications.

ASGI (Asynchronous Server Gateway Interface) is a standard interface between web servers, frameworks, and Python applications that supports asynchrony. It is designed as an asynchronous replacement for WSGI (Web Server Gateway Interface), which is used in most synchronous Python web applications.

Why is ASGI important?

Asynchrony and performance: ASGI allows multiple requests to be processed simultaneously, which greatly improves application performance. This is especially important for modern web applications that require high processing and response speeds.

When I first encountered ASGI, I was impressed with its performance and ease of integration. Using ASGI, I’ve been able to dramatically increase the speed and responsiveness of my applications, which is especially important in high load projects. One of my favorite projects is a chat application where ASGI has allowed me to process thousands of messages per second without lag or performance issues.
